Dig This... Drive-in Movies and Ice Cream Sodas at H'Artful of Fun

By LASC Posted: January 23rd, 2012

The 22nd annual H’Artful of Fun, Rebel With A Cause, will be a “blast to the past” for hipsters and greasers alike! On February 11, 2012, you can swing the night away with all the iconic ‘50’s music, vintage cars, live doo wop music, dance exhibitions and lessons, drive-in movies, and roller skating carhops --- and some fascinating and intriguing interactive demonstrations of art and science spectacles of the 1950’s!

And, we’re going back in time to feature the fabulous desserts for which this event is so well known! In homage to the ‘50’s our beautifully designed soda fountains will feature delectable favorites from years past ----- Black Cows, Root Beer Floats and, of course, Egg Creams! (In keeping with 2012, however, OUR soda’s will feature the delectable and contemporary Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt!) And, of course, we’ll also feature the most incredibly decadent desserts created by over 25 of the area’s finest chefs, and lots of Kentucky’s finest potent potables.

Our silent and live auctions will feature week-long stays in vacation homes, personally catered dinner parties, travel packages, sporting and event tickets, Keeneland boxes, and other unique and one-of-a-kind items! The incredible art auction alone will include over 75 original works of art from painters, jewelers, sculptors, photographers, and the work of other fine artists and craftspeople.
